The amount of BOTOX® needed varies from person to person. However, the FDA has approved the following dosages:
- 20 units for the forehead
- 20 units for the brow area
- 24 units for crow’s feet areas
Dosage also depends on each patient’s muscle movements, features, and facial dimensions. During a free BOTOX® consultation, our DermaBlue providers will discuss your goals, assess your features, and help you determine the correct dosage.

Forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet (glabellar lines) are the most commonly treated areas. The procedure takes about 10 minutes. Your DermaBlue provider will help determine the best treatment dose during a free Aesthetic Consultation. During the actual treatment, a series of relatively painless, micro injections are made to the target area. This will only take a couple of minutes. When you are done, the Botox will start to work in 3-4 days and be fully effective at two weeks.Â
If it is your first treatment, some muscles will take longer than others to achieve an optimal outcome, so be patient. Results last three to four months. It’s recommended that the next treatment should be administered when the muscles in the treated areas of the face begin to contract again.Â

During this consultation, we’ll talk about your ultimate aesthetic goals and decide on the correct dosage for each area and discuss any other concerns or questions you may have about the treatment.
