Introducing EmSculpt: Build Muscle, Sculpt Your Body!
Emsculpt seems to be featured in every magazine and on every morning talk show right now with rave reviews—and for good reason! There is nothing else like it out there.
EmSculpt is FDA-cleared for the “improvement of abdominal tone, strengthening of abdominal muscles, development of a firmer abdomen, and strengthening, toning and firming of the buttocks.”
We hear it every day—patients who work hard putting in countless hours at the gym become frustrated when they still see just lackluster results.
How Does EmSculpt Work?
While this may sound too good to be true it actually works.
The concept of this device is actually very simple. With the use of High Intensity Focused Electromagnetic Energy this treatment engages what’s called supramaximal contractions (the kind that is unable to be achieved with voluntary muscle contractions like doing core workouts or squats at the gym).
Each 30-minute treatment (we recommend starting out with a series of 4) yields the equivalent of 20,000 crunches/squats depending on which area is being treated. It should be noted, however, that this device is intended to supplement an active, healthy lifestyle.
What Makes EmSculpt Different?
The clinical data is what truly sets this treatment apart from the rest.
On average, the following were achieved in clinical studies on healthy patients:
• 19% reduction of fat
• 4 cm (1.5 inches) loss in waistline circumference
• 16% increase in muscle mass
• 11% reduction in abdominal muscle separation (called diastasis recti)
• 5 x increase in fat metabolism (apoptotic index increased from 19% to 92% after treatment)
• 80% of patients with visible lifting effect of buttocks
• 96% patient satisfaction
For men, we can define their abdomen and enhance that six-pack. For women, we can pull in their lower abdomen (aka the dreaded pooch) and create a sleeker and sexier core.
Treating the booty creates a natural and enhanced lift because each treatment simultaneously targets all three gluteal muscle groups. Who can do 20,000 of those every day at the gym? Not us!
Maintaining Results after EmSculpt
Maintaining results is simple: doing a treatment once every few months can keep you looking toned.
Does EmSculpt have any side effects?
So, for our most asked question- are you sore after these treatments?
You’d expect to be immobilized after 20,000 contractions, right? Thankfully the answer is “no”!
Along with the contractions during EmSculpt treatments, there is also a phase of forceful tapping that releases all of the toxins and lactic acid from the treated muscles. This is the equivalent to stretching after a workout which eases discomfort. Most patients report no issues with muscle discomfort even days after treatment.
EmSculpt vs. Coolsculpting: are they the same?
EmSculpt is a great choice for patients who may not be the best Coolsculpting candidate because they don’t have enough fat tissue to effectively treat but it is also a GREAT option to combine with Coolsculpting.
Most people have just enough fat tissue that we can target that volume specifically with Coolsculpting but then also burn a little more with EmSculpt and build muscle underneath to create their optimal outcome.
We work hard with our home habits and working out at the gym and sometimes we need a kick-starter to really see some impressive results.
Essentially, you’ll get the same look and feel that comes from dieting and exercising for 6 months*.
