The VOLUMA® treatment procedure is quick—usually under 30 minutes depending on the scope of the treatment (not including the consultation, which are free and usually last 30 minutes).
1. Initial Consultation
Your DermaBlue provider will begin with a free aesthetic assessment, during which you will have a chance to explain your aesthetic goals and allow your injector to create a roadmap to document your progress. You’ll also go over medical history and explore the risks.
2. Treatment
Your injector will begin by carefully assessing your face, cleaning the injection area, and applying a topical anesthetic to minimize discomfort. They will then carefully inject the correct amount of VOLUMA® to the target area.
3. Aftercare
After the injection, you may experience some minor swelling or bruising at the injection site that will be gone within a day or two at most.
You injector will provide some important aftercare instructions, which may include avoiding any straining or exercising, being out in the sun or extreme temperatures, and/or gently massaging the injection site.
