A chemical peel is an anti-aging, rejuvenating and restorative treatment that can be customized for each patient’s skin.
Want smoother, younger-looking skin without injections, painful lasers, or lengthy downtime? Chemical peels are a great way to rejuvenate skin without any additional inconveniences that come with many cosmetic treatments and we can customize the chemical formula for each patient’s unique skin goals.
Chemical peels are a treatment process that involves applying a chemical solution to the face, causing the outer layer of skin to peel off, resulting in skin that’s smoother, more even in tone and texture, and less wrinkled. At DermaBlue, our chemical peels are customized specifically for each patient’s skin type, skin concerns, and aesthetic goals.
We offer PCA peels here in our offices, which are highly customizable. These chemical peels have many great rejuvenating benefits and can address several skin concerns:
Chemical peels are done in our offices and the application procedure only takes about 30 minutes. You will leave the solution on your skin for 4 hours so you will want to head home after the procedure. The procedure is very comfortable, patients report only a mild stinging while the solution is applied. Around the third day you will notice the peeling process taking place. This will continue for about one week.
You may apply makeup and moisturizer to minimize the peeling. You will be given a post-peel information packet when you leave that includes instructions on how to care for your skin. Treatment success depends on following your post care instructions and using the recommended products properly.
Treatments are generally sold in packages and patients will need to come back once a month for 3 to 5 months, depending on the patient’s goals, to get the full benefits of the treatment.
The chemical solution in a chemical peel works by causing controlled damage to the outer layers of skin, leading to exfoliation and eventual peeling. This process stimulates the body’s natural healing response, encouraging the regeneration of new, healthier skin
1. Free Aesthetic Consultation
The first step in a chemical peel treatment is a consultation with a DermaBlue provider, who will assess your skin and discuss your skin concerns and aesthetic goals with you in order to create a custom chemical peel formula.
Your provider will also set expectations and discuss the treatment process, as well as recommend pre-peel skincare routines to help you prepare for your treatment and achieve the best possible results.
2. Day of Treatment
On the day of the treatment, we’ll begin by making sure the face or target treatment area is clean of oil, dirt, and makeup. Hair and eyes may be covered up to avoid staining or damaging from the chemical solution.
Then your provider will apply the solution with a brush or pad evenly over the treatment area. You may feel a mild tingling or stinging sensation as the solution begins to work on the skin.
3. Post-Treatment
After the treatment, your skin may feel sensitive or raw, similar to a sunburn. Cooling creams, lotions, or sunscreens may be applied to protect the raw skin from further damage.
Your skin will peel or flake over the next few days as your skin begins to heal and grow fresh, rejuvenated layers. This typically lasts a few days.
4. Follow-Up Treatments
To achieve the best results, you’ll likely need to come back for follow-up treatments 4 weeks later for a series of 3-5 months.
Results from a chemical peel vary from one patient to another, depending on the strength of the chemical peel solution being used and a patient’s skin. However, you can expect brighter, fresher skin with more even texture, tone, and fewer wrinkles. Scarring from acne will also be improved.
Chemical peel treatments are customized and are based on the patient’s unique skin concerns. We offer free consultations and may offer a discount based on the number of treatment areas you would like treated. Schedule a free consultation to get an accurate quote.

A lighter chemical peel can provide results that last for a month or more, while a deeper chemical peel can provide smoother skin for 6 months and up.
The PCA chemical peel is suitable for all skin types and skin tones. If you have any open wounds or sores, you may not be ready for a chemical peel at the time of treatment.Â
Lighter chemical peels may sting or feel similar to a sunburn. Deeper chemical peels can be somewhat painful, as the formula affects deeper, more sensitive layers of the skin.Â
In most cases, it takes two to three chemical peel treatments to see noticeable, lasting results. That’s why we tend to sell chemical peels in a package or a series.Â
