HA Fillers:
Hyaluronic Acid Fillers are options for our patients who need volume replacement from aging that affects the face, lips, hands etc. Volume loss leads to the sunken or sagging appearance of the face, as well as fine lines, wrinkles, folds and thin or “disappearing” lips. Our goal with using HA fillers is to create structure and framework to the treated areas knowing that Hyaluronic Acid will pull water to those areas for a natural fill or lift. Patients like knowing that what we are injecting into their skin is a naturally occurring substance. That provides peace of mind for first time filler users. They also like knowing they will see immediate volume change as they leave our office. It is good to know that swelling and bruising is a possibility and may start pretty quickly after treatment. Once the swelling goes down our patients can see the exact volume change provided. HA Fillers offer different longevity times based on which product we recommend as well as what area we inject it. While the lips last around 6 months due to how much we move that area, the cheeks or other areas may be more like 9-12. Every patient is different though which is why we keep our filler patients on a schedule for their next appointment so their volume loss doesn’t appear back all the way. We do everything we can to keep our patients comfortable and relaxed during treatment. This means offering extra time to numb the area with topical options as well as injectable options. We also offer Pro-Nox if necessary although usually not needed for treatments like Filler.

It infuses layers of the skin with valuable moisture that we can’t always provide with other sources. The great thing about HA topical products is it doesn’t need many additional ingredients or filler products to be more effective. It delivers real results with limited ingredients which is ideal. Something to think about- hydration of the skin and moisture to the skin are different. Very different! It’s easy to think these two words are one and the same. Thirsty skin (under the surface) needs hydration. Dry skin (on the surface) needs moisture. The combo of these two types of products is idea for happy and healthy skin!
